Game aggregators connect operators with multiple game providers under one integration. In this guide, we explain how casino game aggregators work, what they provide, and how you can identify which aggregator an online casino is using.
Casino Game Aggregators Explained
In short, a casino game aggregator is a B2B service that connects multiple game providers to one unified integration, making for a much easier time for the operator. Without an aggregator, the casino would need to integrate each provider separately. Adding 50 different providers could mean building 50 different API connections and negotiating separate agreements.
With aggregators, the casino connects to one API. The aggregator then routes requests between the casino and all of the individual game providers.
The casino operator pays the aggregator according to the agreed commercial terms.
The casino does not necessarily receive every game that the aggregator has in stock. Certain games require specific target markets and casino licenses.

There are multiple pros of integration using a casino game aggregator compared to direct integration:
Easier Management
Game aggregators provide a dashboard for the operator to use and can see all the necessary data for the different games and game providers.
The casino can activate and remove games, review performance, and organize the game catalog thereafter, without needing a separate system. This is important, especially in 2026, when most competitive casinos offer thousands of games.
The dashboard can also help operators to identify which games are popular and which providers perform the best.
Faster Integration
The main technical advantage is that the operator only needs one API connection instead of multiple separate ones. Once the first integration is complete, more providers can easily be added without rebuilding the entire backend.
Access to More Game Providers
Aggregators make it possible for smaller and new casinos to offer games from more studios. Making a direct relationship with a big game provider as a startup is hard.
Technical Support
When a game stops working at a casino, the aggregator is the primary technical contact. Instead of contacting the studio directly, the aggregator can identify which part of the chain is causing the problem. Problems might include:
- Provider outages
- Aggregator API issues
- Vulnerabilities
Recently BC.Game had an active vulnerability on one of their third-party games, causing damages of nearly $5M. Centralized support makes these problems easier to manage, but at the same time it adds another company between the casino and the game provider.
Unified Payments
Game providers get paid a percentage of the generated GGR (wager – winnings) that their games have done on a casino. Instead of sending multiple payments every month, a game aggregator lets operators top up a balance in the dashboard, and payments are handled automatically.
How Does a Casino Game Aggregator Work?
The exact process differs between aggregators, but most game launches follow a similar process.
1. Player Selects a Game
The player browses the catalog of games and clicks on one of the game thumbnails. The casino loads its own information about the game. This includes game name, provider, thumbnail, RTP, and category.
In our Rainbet test, the casino’s game record connected the public page slug for Groovin’ Gems with Pragmatic Play’s internal game symbol, vs20groogems.
Rainbet also made separate requests to determine the player’s country and retrieve the selected wallet balance. The country can be used to filter games that are not available in the player’s jurisdiction.
2. The Casino Requests a Game Session
When the game is opened, the casino sends a request to its game-integration endpoint. In our Rainbet test, the request contained the currency, device, language, play mode, wallet type, and public game slug.
Rainbet’s backend already knew the player’s country and mapped the slug to the correct Pragmatic Play game symbol.
3. The Aggregator Chooses How to Launch the Game
Casino providers do not all use the same launch method. Some games require redirects and provider scripts, but the most common from our testing is a standard iframe.
In our Rainbet test, the casino loaded a launcher from a8r.games. The code contained separate launch strategies for Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, and Play’n Go, as well as iframe and redirect methods.
The launcher reads the launch options, selects the provider method, and creates the iframe.
4. The Game Provider Loads the Game
After the session was created, the browser was directed to a tokenized Pragmatic Play URL containing the game symbol “vs20groogems” for Groovin’ Gems.
The provider returned a redirect before loading the live game inside a nested iframe. At this point, the game was ready to play.
5. Bets and Wins Are Processed
Once the player starts playing, bets, wins, refunds, and cancelled rounds are communicated between the game provider, aggregator, and casino wallet.
These transactions normally happen between backend servers, and they are not visible in the browser’s Network tab.
Game Aggregator vs Game Provider, RGS and Casino Platform
Several different companies can be involved when a casino game is launched. The game aggregator is only one layer of the complete casino infrastructure.

Casino Operator
The casino operator controls the brand players interact with. It is normally responsible for the casino license, terms, marketing, customer support, and player relationship.
The operator does not usually develop most of the games available on its website.
Casino Platform
The casino platform manages the wider operation behind the website. This can include player accounts, wallets, bonuses, KYC, payments, reporting and administrative tools.
A platform can include its own game aggregator, but the two are not necessarily the same product.
Game Aggregator
The game aggregator connects the casino platform with multiple game providers through one primary integration.
It can manage game launches, provider access, game metadata, transaction routing, reporting and technical support. The exact services differ between aggregators.
Game Provider
The game provider develops or distributes the games. Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming and Evolution are examples of recognizable providers.
The provider normally remains responsible for the game logic, mathematics, graphics, and game server. However, some providers also distribute games created by smaller studios.
Remote Game Server
The Remote Game Server, commonly shortened to RGS, runs the game and records what happens during each round.
When a player spins a slot, the RGS determines the result according to the game’s programmed mathematics and returns the outcome through the integration chain.
Game Launcher
The launcher handles how the game is displayed in the player’s browser.
In our Rainbet test, the a8r.games launcher supported several provider-specific methods. It created the iframe, selected the appropriate launch strategy, and loaded the Pragmatic Play game from the provider endpoint.
These layers can overlap. An aggregator may also sell a complete casino platform, while a game provider may operate an RGS that distributes games from other studios. This is why identifying one company in the source code does not always reveal the complete supply chain.
How to Identify Which Game Aggregator a Casino Uses
Casinos rarely tell players which game aggregator they use. The aggregator can often be identified by looking at what happens when a game is launched.
Check the network requests
Open the casino in your browser and click F12 to use the Network tab in Developer Tools. Clear all the current network requests, then click on a game.
The most useful requests are usually found under:
- Fetch/XHR
- Document
- JavaScript
Look at endpoints using terms such as:
launchgamesessioncasinoslotsproviderlauncher
The first request may reveal only the casino’s endpoint. However, most operators use a first-party subdomain or proxy that hides the game aggregator.
In our Rainbet test, the launch request was sent to: slot-integrations.rainbet.com/api/v1/slots/launch
This looked like Rainbet’s own infrastructure, but the later requests showed a third-party layer.
Inspect the Launch Response
The launch response may contain:
- Game URL
- Provider Name
- Game symbol
- Session token
- Currency
- Language
- Country
- Launcher URL
- Aggregator domain
The launch URL is sensitive. Session tokens and player identifiers must be removed before publishing screenshots.
This response may lead directly to a provider, but that doesn’t prove a direct integration.
Inspect the Iframe
Most casino games are loaded through an iframe, and they’re visible if you open the Elements tab and search for iframe when on a game page.
In our Rainbet test, the iframe came from a8r.games and ran a multi-provider launcher. This showed three browser layers:
- Rainbet’s casino interface
- The a8r.games launch layer
- Pragmatic Play’s game environment
The presence of a separate launcher domain is a strong sign that the casino uses an aggregator, especially when the same domain appears across games from several game providers.
Lookups on Iframe Domains
After inspecting the Elements console for multiple games, there should be one domain that’s consistent (in our case, a8r.games).
Using this domain, we can do lookups using VirusTotal, where we can see relations, related subdomains, TLS certificates, historical WHOIS, and more information relevant to finding the game aggregator.
We managed to find a subdomain that had a back office for SOFTSWISS on a8r.games, which we believe is strong evidence that Rainbet uses the SOFTSWISS game aggregator.
Popular Casino Game Aggregators in 2026
There is no single aggregator used by every casino. Operators choose according to available providers, target countries, licensing, pricing, and technical requirements.
The figures below are advertised by the companies themselves and were checked in August 2026. Actual availability can differ by operator and jurisdiction.

The SOFTSWISS Game Aggregator advertises more than 40,000 games from over 300 providers.
Its aggregation product includes game management, analytics and player-engagement tools. SOFTSWISS also offers a wider casino platform, sportsbook, payment product and affiliate system, but these are separate parts of its B2B ecosystem.
Stake and Rainbet are users of the SOFTSWISS game aggregator.
Slotegrator APIgrator
Slotegrator advertises more than 30,000 games from over 180 providers through APIgrator.
The company also offers a casino platform, sportsbook integration, payment aggregation, affiliate management, and bonus tools. An operator can use APIgrator as a single integration or as part of a larger Slotegrator setup.
A commercial offer we reviewed showed that the available provider bundle is customizable. Providers can have separate revenue-share rates, market restrictions, minimum fees and additional charges despite being delivered through one integration.
BC.Game and BetFury are two of the casinos that use APIgrator.
Hub88
Hub88 advertises more than 26,000 games from over 200 suppliers.
The company provides a single casino API alongside reporting, content-management and jackpot tools. Hub88 also offers separate APIs for slots, blackjack, live casino and sportsbook content.
St8
St8 advertises more than 19,000 games from over 200 providers.
Its API covers slots, live casino, crash games, jackpots and sportsbook content. St8 also offers game-round reporting, bonus tools, game thumbnails and compliance features.
We have identified St8 integrations during our technical research into online casinos, although the visible provider domain is not always the same as the aggregator.
Duel is a customer of the St8 casino game integration.
EveryMatrix CasinoEngine
EveryMatrix CasinoEngine combines game aggregation with a wider casino platform.
Operators can use its content library, back office, API, compliance tools and gamification systems. EveryMatrix also supplies player-account and sportsbook products through other modules.
This is an example of why a casino platform and game aggregator can appear to be the same company while remaining separate technical layers.
Alea
Alea offers casino game aggregation through one API and one commercial relationship.
The company advertises thousands of games, no minimum fees, and no technical maintenance for the operator. We have also observed Alea’s infrastructure during our technical research into casino game integrations.
